Mary Ellen Haynes passed away on November 27, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She was self employed as a caretaker. Mary was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Claude K. Wilson and Rosa L. Matthews Wilson, husbands; Wheeler R. Vaughan Sr. and Walter Malcolm Haynes, and sister, Helen Gilbert. Mary is survived by her son, Wheeler R. (Susan) Vaughan Jr. of Dallas, GA, daughters; Connie Yant of Murfreesboro, TN and Sherry Lynn Vaughan of Murfreesboro, TN, brother, Bobby Wilson of Murfreesboro, TN, sister, Anna Mae Thomas (John B.) of Milton, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and special aunt Ruby Matthews.
